After responding and working with our feedback from the class we decided to change our narrative slightly. Out new idea is that the main character in the film is now the character, played by Tom Hank's, son. Being played in our film by James Marson. Therefore a much younger actor and one who will have young looking arms & hands - linking to the realism of our shots with the 'memory box'.
Also after reviewing our feedback sheets our teacher, Sinead, helped us plot the idea of having a character in shots like below which break the 4th wall rule. Wes Anderson frequently uses them for example. This example below though is from Garden State, a RomCom directed by and staring Zach Braff.
