Title Sequence Research and Conventions

Kyle Cooper and Saul Bass are two title sequence designers which I will now look into, now having been tasked with creating our own sequence in groups. In my case the same group as who I made my continuity sequence with. Before i start talking about both of these opening sequence designers though there are conventions of a sequence which i'll need to think about and look out for when analysing their work. For example most modern day film sequences consist of the director's name, main stars names, film name, producers name and then sometimes they include DOP's, casting directer and so on but not all of the time so those roles aren't something i'll concentrate on. The Catch Me If You Can title sequence below expresses all of these elements i've just discussed and therefore a very good example for when studying these as a topic and to learn from. In this instance below the sequence is a result of the work of both Kuntzel and Deygas but is their own modern take on the work of Saul Bass.
